• What is the cost of your in-home service?
• Every candidate for in-home care has a specific set of needs and wants. Therefore, it's impossible to determine specific costs until after a free in-home consultation. However, we are confident our rates are competitive and most likely below the prevailing market rate due to our efficiency and low overhead.
• Who uses your in-home care?
• Individual circumstances and life situations determine who may seek in-home assistance. In many cases, we assist people who live alone and need help with daily activities. These people wish to remain independent as long as possible instead of being institutionalized or moving in with family members. Our service helps them accomplish this goal. On other occasions, we provide temporary assistance for those recuperating from surgery or illness and for a family caregiver who needs a break.
• How long does it take to get a caregiver?
• As soon as we receive a request, we promptly schedule an initial interview so we can learn about and fully understand a client's needs and circumstances. Once we have a clear understanding of the situation, we can often match your loved one with a caregiver very quickly, often within 12 hours. In past emergency situtations we have had people in place in as little as a few hours.
• Will I get a chance to meet the caregiver in advance?
• Absolutely. We regard this as step one in the crucial process of building relationships. Making a compatible caregiver match is part of our service to you, and we collect vital information in our initial consultation to help put us on the right track.
• What if my caregiver is temporarily unavailable?
• We are continuously screening, interviewing and selecting excellent candidates who are prepared to step in on short notice in the event a regular caregiver is ill or temporarily unavailable.
• What happens if the caregiver match does not work?
• In the event that a caregiver is not a good fit for that client, we try again. We use that experience to further our understanding of our new client's need. This has happened on occasion but we were able to make great matches for them.
• How do you supervise caregivers?
• We use a fraud proof punch-in / punch-out system that utilizes the clients home phone. This gives us exact arrival / departure times from an exact location. All of our caregivers are given state police background checks, secretary of state drivers license checks, in addition to professional and private reference checks. Workman's compensation and liability insurance also cover our workers so you can relax with our people assisting you.
